This internship opportunity is supported by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Internship Fund.  Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Lackawanna County college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Chamber member college or university: Clarks Summit University, Fortis Institute, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Johnson College, Keystone College, Lackawanna College, Luzerne County Community College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Penn State Scranton, The University of Scranton, Wilkes University.

Practice applying your business social media skills with a local full-service marketing agency! This 25+ year old business has hosted many interns, helping them learn and launch into their own PR, advertising, and marketing careers!

Join Condron Media's team of visionaries as they create and deliver innovative marketing results to businesses. You'll learn how to listen and relationship-build and practice core writing and research skills to produce a high-quality product for Condron customers. 

This opportunity is a flexible in-person/remote internship.

Logistics:

  • Summer 2021, Late May or early June start - 10 weeks
  • Minimum of 10 hours per week
  • $10/hour
  • Suburban Clarks Summit, PA location (minutes from Scranton)
  • This opportunity can be a flexible blend of virtual and in-person work. *

Requirement before applying: Students are required to check with their college/university career development office to find out if any additional requirements need to be met for the internship, on the part of the student and/or the small business host.

Qualifications:

  • Communications, PR, Advertising, Digital Marketing or Marketing coursework
  • Social media experience and understanding, applicable to business  
  • Proven, high-quality writing and research skills
  • PR writing and/or Video, photography skills a plus

Projects:

Develop innovative material for social media and web for Condron's diverse business clientele:

  • Work with the Condron team to understand client vision, branding goals and needs
  • Do daily research, presenting findings and gaining feedback from the Condron team 
  • Combine your ideas, market research, and writing into social media-ready products
  • Some traditional advertising practice and insight will be included!
