Space Time Mead & Cider Works, a local sourcing, community supporting, and nationally recognized craft winery in Dunmore, PA, is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Spring Marketing Intern to join our marketing efforts. If you’re ambitious and want to hone your marketing skills through website and social media content creation, and want to learn how to build a brand that customers can come to know and love, then Space Time wants to meet you!

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent critical thinking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques including traditional and social media approaches. If you are responsible, hardworking, honest, act with integrity, take pride in your work, have a willingness to learn, helpful to others, and your word is your bond, then you have the right skills.

This is a hybrid (on-site & virtual/remote) and flexible internship.

Logistics:

  • Spring 2022 start, 10 week-long internship
  • 10 hrs/week
  • $12/hour wage
  • This will be both a virtual and in-person internship at the business location in Dunmore, PA (Lackawanna County)*  Business will be as flexible as possible given class schedules, Covid, etc.
  • Required software and other tools will be provided as needed.
  • For credit optional*

* Requirement: Students are required to check with their college/university career development office to find out if any guidelines, must be followed and/or requirements must be met for the internship (health & safety, academic or other), by the student and/or the small business host.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • English, Marketing, General Business, Communications, or Digital/IT major or coursework
  • Junior/Senior or Graduate level
  • Experience creating engaging social media content
  • Strong skill-set in: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and on-line meeting platform use
  • Wordpress skills are a bonus, but not required
  • Excellent written communication and time management skills
  • Creative thinker and team player

Projects: Mentored by the business owner, you’ll be working on developing and improving Space Time’s marketing and branding efforts.

  • Website Content Development: Work on “Phase 2” of Space Time’s re-branding efforts! Determine what content is missing or needs updated and help compile new content. You’ll get the opportunity to act as a liaison between a website development company and the business, communicating business needs and using your skills in content development.
  • Marketing Piece Development: Find ways to connect Space Time’s branding to its customer experience through marketing piece development, highlighting products; awards; sustainable mission, and implementation; and community involvement. Will also be looking for fun and engaging seasonal pieces and event promotions. This will include creating posts for social media, writing press releases and promotional material, and taking product/store photographs.
  • Updating 2022 marketing calendar and plan.
