Take on the challenge of matching your video skills to a project that will reach a live customer base, creating videos for the business’ social media. Learn a bit about a NEPA small business, looking to grow!

The Ski Shack is a third generation, family-owned outdoor specialty shop located in Moosic, PA. Their mission is to share their passion and expertise with the community and make the outdoors more accessible for everyone.

This internship is a hybrid (virtual and on-site) micro-internship.

Logistics:

• 35 hours estimated, October and November 2021 timeframe.
• $500 fixed fee (intern is responsible for their own self-employment taxes)
• Project must be independently managed and completed by November 26, 2021
• Camera and lighting available for intern use from the business, if needed
• Individual must utilize their own editing software and computer

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of video production experience.
• Familiar with post-production software such as iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or equivalent.

Project:

Create (10) engaging, professional videos (2-3 minutes in length) geared to outdoor enthusiasts for web and social media use.

Responsibilities include collaboration with business ownership on script, brand standards and messaging, and determination of project needs. Set up of photo shoots, lighting and props; recording of video using visual best practices, completion post-production of all videos for delivery across all social media platforms; project to completion.

By utilizing your creative thought, video skills, and appreciation for outdoor sports, you will be helping to inform and engage customers on the business’ latest and popular outdoor sporting goods and apparel.

Project must be completed by November 26, 2021.
