Friends, family, and food…Sometimes it can be nice to take a step back from all the distractions in our lives to focus on the people that mean the most to us, and what better way than over a great meal. The New Café provides a beautiful atmosphere and pairs it with a wide selection of contemporary Mediterranean food, creating memorable moments every time.

In this micro-internship, you will further your skills in creating engaging social media content as you gain a deeper understanding of how you can apply those skills to the food industry.

This is a short-term, remotely-completed internship.

Logistics:

• 20 hours estimated
• $200 fixed fee
• The student will utilize Zoom/email to communicate with the owner.
• Project must be independently managed and completed by the intern.
• Project must be completed within 1-2 weeks of start date.

Qualifications:

• Marketing, General Business, Communications, Digital/IT background
• Any level of coursework is acceptable (Freshman- Grad)
• Experience creating engaging social media content.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
• Online meeting capability required (Zoom)
• Excellent written communication skills
• Creative thinker and team player
• Understands the value of customer service

Project:

The intern will help The New Café create new templates for their social media promotions. Specifically, these templates will be used to highlight menu items, events such as Happy Hour, and scheduled entertainment. Once these templates are created, the intern will then show the owner how they created the content and how they can use/maintain it going forward. These promotional materials will be critical in attracting new customers because once they visit once, they almost always come back for seconds.
