Spring 2021 Data and Lead Verification Virtual Micro-Internship

Come and take part in a massive collaboration between the nation’s five largest Italian American organizations as they undertake a joint initiative to identify every single Christopher Columbus statue in the United States. Learn the importance of sharing accurate and concise information with key stakeholders as you help verify the history of these statues and their value to the Italian American community.

This is a short-term, remotely-completed internship.

Logistics:

  • 40 hours estimated
  • $450 fixed fee (intern is responsible for their own self-employment taxes)
  • Project must be independently managed and completed by the intern.
  • Project must be completed within 4 weeks of start date.

Qualifications:

  • Students of any major are welcome to apply!
  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Great time management skills
  • Self-Motivated

Project:

Students will be responsible for verifying a list of statues of Christopher Columbus in the United States and then filling in missing data, including searching for photos. The completion of this database will help the Italian American community identify the historic and cultural significance of Columbus to their heritage. Although this may seem like a small task, every ounce of help, puts this massive project one step closer to completion!

Project must be completed within 4 weeks of start date.
