This internship opportunity is supported by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Internship Fund.  Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Lackawanna County college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Chamber member college or university: Clarks Summit University, Fortis Institute, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Johnson College, Keystone College, Lackawanna College, Luzerne County Community College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Penn State Scranton, The University of Scranton, Wilkes University.

Are you a highly-motivated team player with experience generating innovative marketing content, and an interest in working in the business operations side of the hospitality (hotel) industry?

Gain hands-on marketing experience in Epic's internal projects, as well as projects for their international hospitality clients! Use your passion for social media strategies and channels to build results for Epic and their clients.

This is a semester-long virtual internship with terrific future opportunity for the right candidate!

Logistics:

  • This is a virtual internship with hours between 9 am and 5 pm EST
  • 8 to 12 hours/week, *flexible to student schedule
  • $10-12/hour, dependent on experience
  • Business is located at The Scranton Enterprise Center

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven skills in meeting deadlines, collaboration, written and verbal communication and time management 
  • Marketing or communications educational background/ coursework
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, online meeting platforms
  • Web design, social media creation, SEO marketing experience a must!
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills helpful

Projects:

Working with Epic's Director of Marketing, you'll complete independent and team-based marketing efforts for Epic's brand, as well as for their international clients:

1. Responsible for creating content across a variety of channels for both online and offline distribution

2. Manage email marketing campaign; developing email content, distributing of campaign and overseeing over multiple databases

3. Work collaboratively with EPIC departments to develop materials to support sales and executive team and drive brand positioning           

4. Execute brand and partner social media campaigns and content upload, reporting monthly on analytics                                       

5. Research digital trends, presenting new ideas for the company to implement to put them on the cutting edge of marketing execution
