Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following criteria: Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university. Be a currently enrolled student of a Lackawanna County college or university

Be a currently enrolled student of a Chamber member college or university: Clarks Summit University, Fortis Institute, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Johnson College, Keystone College, Lackawanna College, Luzerne County Community College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Penn State Scranton, The University of Scranton, Wilkes University.

Fall 2019, Retail and Social Media Internship

Gain experience in learning how to broaden the social media audience in an innovative retail boutique setting. Student will plan and update social media presence to increase brand awareness and marketing efforts. This position will also assist in creating an appealing and inviting boutique where customers feel special and in line with current trends.

Logistics:
• Fall 2019, September start through Christmas
• 8-10 hours per week, Tuesday thru Saturday
• $10.00/ Hour
• Scranton

Qualifications:
• Fashion Major and/or marketing
• Understanding of Sales/Marketing/Retail Entrepreneurship
• Experience with Photography, Social Media platforms (including Instagram and Facebook)
• Customer Service Skills, Personable, Creative, Organized and Dependable
• Retail Sales Experience a Plus

Projects:
• Create, implement and launch online and local events to further market shops’ brand.
• Increase store’s social media platforms.  

Learning Objectives:
• Gain insight of social media and sales at a start up small boutique.
• Utilize academic knowledge to manage social media campaigns.
• Ability to be creative and self start projects.
