This internship opportunity is supported by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Internship Fund.

Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following criteria:

 

  • Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Lackawanna County college or university
  • Be a currently enrolled student of a Chamber member college or university: Clarks Summit University, Fortis Institute, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Johnson College, Keystone College, Lackawanna College, Luzerne County Community College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Penn State Scranton, The University of Scranton, Wilkes University.

Summer 2019 Marketing Coordinator Internship

The Marketing Coordinator Internship at Veloce Group, LLC engages future marketing professionals in a strong entrepreneurial/start-up environment, preparing them for leadership in project management, market analysis, creative direction, and internal communications. This internship will require the individual to balance involvement in multiple business units and make real Cost-Benefit decisions with an institutional impact. Looking for motivated, creative, and irreverent ‘do-ers’ hoping to make a lasting impact with their internship.

 

Logistics:

  • Summer 2019, June start
  • 10-15 hours per week
  • $12/hour
  • Scranton,  PA

 

Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Functional proficiency in social media platforms
  • Wordpress knowledge a plus, not required
  • Must own personal laptop and smartphone

 

Projects:

  • Develop sales and promotions in conjunction with business unit managers
  • Develop a new marketing promotion or program from start to finish
  • Work with business unit leaders to organize and promote events

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Experience incorporating the Four “P’s” of marketing in practical real-life scenarios
  • Learn to balance the marketing needs of multiple brands and business units
  • Learn to conduct real-life Cost-Benefit analyses on potential marketing programs
  • Learn to create and present marketing program reports and measure results
